More than 10,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since Israel declared war on Hamas, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. Israel is responding to the Hamas attacks on 7 October that killed 1,400 citizens, including at least 31 children, and where 240 Israelis were kidnapped and taken into Gaza.
